Cause Of WWI

What mainly triggered the start of World War I was nationalism, militarism and the assassination of Franz Ferdindand. Nationalism is when one person has great pride to ones country, so basically they are saying they're country is the best in the world. Militarism means that you show great pride to ones military power. And what was going on during the assassination of Franz Ferdindand.

Imperialism Project

The reason why we did this project was because we had to learn what supplies the countries had and how much colonies of them were spread around the world. I learned that the Britain colonies had more colonies spread out throughout the world then any countries back in the old days. I also learned the trails they passed through to get to destination by boat or ship. Because Britain had more advanced technology then any country back them they had better advantages in anything.

Film Lesson: "Mountains of the Moon"

that slowed them down on their adventure. There are African tribes that steal, or even kill anything that In this movie there are these two guys named Richard Burton and John Speke who are exploring Africa dying to discover the source of the Nile river. They will do anything and face any danger just to discover the source. In case you don't know a source of any river means the place the water is coming from or where it begins from. And on their journey they stumble upon many obstacles trespasses their territory. They get robed twice on their journey. Once when they got slave helpers to carry their equipment during their journey, they just ran with the supplies. And another time when they were sleeping. And even when their sleeping bugs can hurt them badly like it affected John Speke. It is strange that the Lake Victoria is named after the British queen because why would they name a lake after a British name when the lake takes place all the way in Africa? I know the ones who explored it and discovered it were British but they should still give credit to the African since it is in Africa. The reason why the British technology is more advanced then the African is because they have guns that kill people faster and better without using time.

Karl Marx and Communsim

Karl Marx created the idea of communism. He thought of it and is proud of it. Communism is the idea that all the people were are equal. Equal in class, wealth. Karl Marx wanted the workers to unite and to take over the world. He was tired of the bosses to give commands to the workers. He describes the employees as cowards for not going after the bosses when they out-number them by a thousand! He was the workers as the good guys and the bosses as the evil people because they would be demanding them to work so much for so long. And so the idea of communism was born.

Karl Marx and the Industrial Revolution

Karl Marx born in Germany but his ideas inspired a big portion of Russia. He despised the idea of workers listening to orders and not having the control of anything. He also noticed the idea of the factories being so unsafe with the chance of an employee being risked to get hurt. He spoke to the world calling all workers to unite in some sort of revolution. Communism comes from the word common. He stated a law for all communists to have the equal amount of wealth/money, only Communists. He eventually died.He died in the year 1883 and his communism plans were passed on and never forgotten.

Nationalism and the Creation of Italy

Nationalism is the way someone admires the country from where they were born in. The way to express how you can show that you supporting nationalism is to blend in with the people in that country. The way you can tell if someone is from the same country as you is if you use the same money, celebrate the same holidays & festivals, talk the same language, have symbolic material, have a history that signifies your countries past. For example I am nationalistic because I use the same language, use the same money, talk the same language, believe the common religion etc.

Italy was conquered by napolean. Italy was isolated. Then Italy fought back and won their independence. Then they created their flag, their type of government etc. Italy was free from france and started to follow the rule of Nationalism

Simon Bolivar and the Latin American Revolutions

Simon Bolivar was a hero for accomplishing what he has done. Simon Bolivar was born on July 24, 1783. He was known as a hero in the countries of northern South America. He was known as a hero because helped gain the independence of Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia (which was the reason why Bolivia is named Bolivia, its named after Simon Bolivar). He was a leader of military forces, he led them to victory. Others talked about fighting against the Spanish to regain independence but they just talked trash unlike Simon because he did exactly what he promised. The majority of South America was conquered by Spain. Simon came back to Venezuela from a trip and he was adviced that he should start to lead the army. When they won they all thanked Simon Bolivar not just Venezuela but other Latin American countries aswell. How ever Bolivia was the most thankful so now their country name is Bolivia dedicated to Simon Bolivar.
